Why do we love our WIGGLE AND JAM MUSIC AND MOVEMENT PROGRAM so much?

Music and Movement for pre-school children is the BEST program children can engage and interact with for later more official music training; They are having the most amazing fun making music, playing instruments, singing, learning songs, moving and so much more.

The children love their weekly classes and truly can’t wait to spend their special time with Wiggle and Jam.

Music is also about Language and babies and children love love love listening to adults singing with our babies always watching and listening intently.

 WHAT IS LANGUAGE?

  • Language Development involves a number of skills, which develop and mature             together and form a whole.  These skills are basically:
  • Receptive Language:  the comprehension and understanding.
  • Understanding always comes before verbalization – at every stage of language development (children understand more than they can verbalise)
  • Expressive Language:  this is the child’s ability to use words, phrases and   sentences.
  • Phonology:  this is the ability to use the sounds of speech in the right places, to   make to words sound different from each other (have you ever heard a child use the      correct syllables and volume and speed but without the sounds of speech?
  • Prosody:  this is the ability to change volume, speed and intonation when talking
  • Fluency:  this is the ability to talk in a smooth way, without hesitation or too           much             repetition
  • Use of Language:  being able to select words and to construct sentences that have    a meaning and from there on eventually being able to read & write.
  • Language is the ability to express one’s own thoughts either in words or in writing, and to be able to understand the thoughts of others (reading).
  • Language is a system of symbols in which we represent our experiences, and it is by using these experiences that we are able to understand and speak.
  • Secondly, it is a system of rules.
  • There is also verbal language (spoken sounds and words, and written language), and non-verbal language (facial expression, hand and body movements).

Some Thoughts on Language

  • Development of Language has a strong connection with social life
  • A central point of difference between the human species and all others
  • Language is an instrument of collective thought
  • Language what is it?  A few noises strung together?  The only thing that gives sense to these sounds is the fact that men have agreed to give them a particular meaning.
  • Language is a kind of wall which encloses a given human company, and separates it from all others
  • Language grows with human thought
  • The power of memory to recollect such a vast quantity of combinations of sounds and their meanings – words have to be put in a particular order as well to give meaning to the spoken word
  • Language is truly the expression of a kind of super intelligence
  • Language is complicated to say the least (sentence structure, verbs, nouns, adjectives, masculine & feminine, singular & plural words, tenses, etc.)
  • Language develops naturally, it is like a spontaneous creation
  • Language development follows fixed laws which are the same in all children
  • Different periods of language development are reached at certain ages
  • Only a child can learn different languages he hears spoken around him at an unconscious level in the mind without tiring from this task of learning a language
  • As an adult we have to consciously learn a new language
  • A complex language is absorbed with the same ease as a simple one
  • Learning a language begins in the deepest shadow of the unconscious mind – inner work takes place before the audible work can be heard
  • Visible progress of language acquisition happens in jumps
  • If the child has gained the power to pronounce syllables all the child will say for the next phase is to utter syllables
  • Syllables – one or two words – phrases – short sentences – longer sentences – etc.
  • Throughout the progress of the different phases constant inner work and growth is taking place
  • At two a child has 200 to 300 words but by the age of 6 the child knows 1000’s
  • There is a double path to acquiring Language
  • an unconscious activity that prepares speech succeeded by
  • a conscious process which slowly awakens and takes from the unconscious what it can offer
  • A child of 6 who has learned to speak correctly, knowing and using the rules of his native tongue, could never describe the unconscious work from which all this has come
  • Non the less it is the man who is the creator of speech

How Language Calls to the Child

  • Areas of nerve cells or centres in the brain cortex are shown to be connected with language
  • And auditory receptive centre is for hearing speech and the other with the production of speech, the movement required for vocalizing words
  • The sensorial centre and the motor centre are both needed
  • The visible organic centre the ear receives the sounds of speech
  • The mouth, nose and throat produce the sounds of speech – develops more slowly
  • Man is not blessed with pre-established language but has to create one for himself
  • Child needs to hear the sound first before he can reproduce it
  • The movement he will make depends on the sound he has heard
  • There must also exist a special sensitiveness, a readiness
  • The child’s activity therefore follows his sensation of hearing
  • The ear (the organ that hears the language) is a very complex instrument
  • It will not respond to every sound in the universe
  • Studies say that the slowest sense to develop is hearing which may be because this powerful hearing mechanism only responds and reacts in relation to sound
  • If there was no special isolation for the spoken words, this sense would pick up each and every sound and the child would come out with the strangest noises (wolve children were mute and did not make strange noises related to forest sounds)
  • Children possess the mechanism which enables them to make language (they don’t possess the language)
  • Words are a kind of fabrication the child produces thanks to the machinery which He finds at his disposal
  • Also, the child all of the sudden will come alive to the sound of music – every human group loves music
  • The human voice is the music and the words are the notes
  • These sounds of speech become fixed in the unconscious (first the sounds of the alphabet, then syllables, then words that are used without understanding, the words with understanding and finally grammar)
  • The child fixes the sounds etc. by repetition
  • The first words to be learned are the names of things, then adjectives, conjunctions, adverbs, verbs in the infinitive, then the conjugation of verbs and declension of nouns, prefixes, suffixes and all the exceptions – as if the child was in school
  • People seldom observe how closely a baby will watch the adults mouth
  • Two things will have happened by the end of the first year
    • in the depth of his unconscious he has understood speech
    • and at the level he has reached consciousness he has created speech even though it is nothing but babbling for the time being
  • At age one the child the child says his first intentional words = babbling with meaning
  • The child becomes aware that language refers to is surroundings and his wish to master in consciously becomes stronger
  • The child has many ideas which he cannot express which brings him the first disappointments – he now strains himself to learn
  • A child who fails to make himself understood will become angry even aggressive
  • At about 1.5 years a child discovers that each thing has its own name
  • Language is not the only thing a child is forming at this age
  • Among others there is his sense of order – a child often feels the deepest impulse to bring order into what, according to his logic, is in a state of confusion
  • Children of one to one and a half need special attention.  They must not be kept in isolation but should live in contact with grown-ups and frequently hear the best speech clearly pronounced

Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement is truly the BEST, fun, learning filled music and movement classes where we use musical instruments, songs, dancing, rhymes, stories and so much more to help with all the areas of development including Language.

Thank you for being the most amazing parents, teachers and principals

in all the children’s lives.

And Thank YOU for always paying fees on time and without reminders; it truly helps us as Paperwork is usually at the bottom of our “things to do” list.

With love

And the most amazing Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement Team

Dear Parents, Principals, Teachers, Friends and Families, March 2019

Wow, what an amazing Term 1 we had traveling around Africa.

The children learnt about some of our amazing South African Musicians and Artists, different African Instruments, our National Anthem, Traditional Dresses, Different Languages spoken in Africa, going in a Taxi, Going on Safari, African Animals and more.

Thank you for your always present trust and support; it helps us to introduce and present our most amazing fun and learning filled Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement Classes to your children and schools.

Term 2 will be all about Weather, Seasons, Rain, Time, Months, Days and the concept of Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow; this is such a fascinating topic as we will be able to observe the changes of nature as we move from summer to autumn to winter.

We know that all children learn best when they are having fun and are playing.  Play is the most natural way for a child to explore their environment using all their senses.

Play helps children with all areas of development and what greater wonder than to watch children play and interact with each other.

Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement is truly the BEST and most amazing activity where children can learn through play.  In our fun, learning filled music and movement classes we use musical instruments, songs, dancing, rhymes, stories and so much more to help with all the areas of development.

Children truly are Our Passion and we are so grateful and privileged to be able to have this special and most amazing time with all your children every single day.

“Play is our brains favourite way of learning”

Our children are SPECIAL:

Our lives have become so consumed by work and earning money that often we don’t have enough hours in a day to spend with our most special and precious gifts in this life – our children.

Below are a few ideas we can use to make our children feel loved and special.

In our classes we find that praising things they are doing beautifully and correctly to the best of their own abilities truly brings the most amazing proud smiles to their faces; such a privilege to watch and witness.

We ALWAYS end our classes with children looking at themselves in the mirror saying

“I am SPECIAL”

2019 Exciting News

Musical Instrument Show Case Days:

We are super excited to announce that we are now adding a whole new extension and venture to our amazing Wiggle and Jam program.

We are currently teaching in over a hundred schools on a weekly basis, and we are constantly growing which attests to the incredible and effective music and movement program we are privileged to present.

We have however over the past few years received several requests from schools for us to present Instrument Showcase Days as a once per year event where we introduce the children to several instruments, sounds, musical terms and genres. We proceeded to design a few shows that would do just that in an incredibly fun and engaging way.

We are setting up and proposing special Musical Instrument Show Case Days for our Schools.

Dear Parents, Principals, Teachers, Friends and Families, December 2018

Wow, this academic year is coming to an end very quickly now; And how much learning filled Music and Movement fun did we have during this year.

Our topic for this last term was all about GOING ON HOLIDAY & CHRISTMAS.  We went on a bicycle, in the car, on the train, in a plane and we certainly visited many different places from the beach to camping in the mountains to the driving around in the game park.  We also include basic Musical information including different Music from around the world, learning about the note values – whole – , half- , quarter- and eighth note, and introduced them to terminology like Forte (Loud) / Piano (Soft) / Lento (Slow) / Allegro (Fast).

All our weekly lesson planning includes direct and indirect aims, taking all developmental skills into consideration. Our children love, love, love their weekly lessons and are always excited to see and “play with” the new instruments and hear all the new information we bring for the week; Learning while having fun is just so much more exciting.

Children are our passion and working with “our” children every week we know how significant it is for us to understand the importance of the first 6 years in our children’s lives.

Also, children learn through play; their play is work made visible.

Through play children use and engage all their senses and yes, in the Early Years children learn through their senses.

When participating in our most fun and learning filled Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement classes, children use their different senses of sound, sight, touch, often also smell and they also use their sense of spatial awareness.

Development of the brain

The first six years are the most important and crucial developmental years in your child’s life.

In the early years, the brain forms connections that set the stage for lifelong learning, behaviour and health. By the age of six, children have a solid foundation for reaching their full potential in the years ahead.

Parents, caregivers and teachers have the greatest responsibility, thus a profound impact on how a child grows and develops in the Early Years.

We are impacting the brain of children during the most critical periods of development.  We are supporting and nurturing the children through the richness of the Environment in ways that go so far beyond what they otherwise might experience randomly or spontaneously in the world.

Our newfound understanding of the brain and its development encourages us to think more fully and more responsibly about the children and the work we do.  It emphasizes the importance of serving the children well by providing a rich environment to satisfy all their developmental needs for:

Emotional Development

Social Development

Cognitive / Intellectual Development

Physical Development

Language Development

Creative Development

It is also very important to look at the children’s level of independence when looking at each area of development as skills without the independence to use them are ineffective skills and will hinder their process of development.

“Education through Play is how children can learn what no one can teach”

“The freedom to play and learn is the right of every child”

Dear Parents, Principals, Teachers, Friends and Families, September 2018

What a truly fun and learning filled term with our topic OCCUPATIONS. Every week the children learnt about a new one, from being a chef, firefighter, farmer, pilot, astronaut and so much more; never a dull moment and always so eager wanting to know what was in our bags.  Children are our passion, and spending our days sharing the most fun and learning filled music and movement activities with all our children is a privilege and honour.

It is also so amazing and special to see when the children look in the mirror to say to themselves:

“I am Special” “I Love You” “I am the Best” and many more positive phrases; their little faces light up with love, pride, joy and confidence.

Wiggle and Jam Magical Moments

We the Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement Team had the privilege to host and sponsor a Wiggle and Jam Magical Moments Event in Sandton at the Injabulo Magical Moments Facilities. This was truly a very special morning for everyone.

Magical Moments gifts the most MAGICAL MOMENTS to children from extremely impoverished areas.

Magical Moments:  Our Vision

Our Vision is to “put smiles on little faces, treats in little tummies & tickle little taste buds” – giving underprivileged children the opportunity to experience a different world, so vastly different from their own.

Magical Moments:  What we do

We create “Magical Moments & Extra-ordinary Days” for abused, abandoned, disadvantaged, neglected, orphaned, underprivileged and vulnerable children in Johannesburg.

Magical Moments:  Dream

Working with children the topic of discipline comes up at least once a week. Having only 30 minutes presenting Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement with a group of children, I am very aware that any disruption in this set-up will have an impact on the quantity and quality of each class and lesson and will therefore impact what children take away from their Wiggle and Jam Lesson.

Every child in each setting is different, is their own little individual in their own right, and comes with their own set of already learnt behaviours and manners.

To make each class successful, fun and learning filled, I as the teacher need to set my boundaries of what is acceptable and what I expect from the second “GO”.

Children truly thrive when they know what they can and cannot do and by giving them consequences when they overstep those boundaries, they learn to be responsible for the choices they make.  Children truly love to be and do the best they could possibly be, and knowing this, makes working with them the most special time I could ever wish to have; LOVE, HUMOUR, PRAISE and POSITIVE FEEDBACK truly goes a very long way.

Discipline is a positive method of teaching a child self-control, confidence, and responsibility. The key to positive discipline is teaching a child what behaviour is okay and what behaviour is not okay. The focus is on what children are expected and allowed to do. It includes catching kids being good and encouraging appropriate behaviour. It also includes modelling appropriate behaviour.

Punishment is quite different from discipline. Punishment may be physical as in spanking, hitting, or causing pain. It may be psychological as in disapproval, isolation, or shaming. Punishment focuses on past misbehaviour and offers little or nothing to help a child behave better in the future. When punishment is used, the person who punishes the child becomes responsible for the child’s behaviour.

Children who are raised in a way that stresses positive discipline will understand their own behaviour better, show independence, and respect themselves and others. Positive discipline is a process, not a single act. It teaches children how to get along with other people. Children are held responsible for misbehaviour, but the consequences are meaningful and related to the behaviour. For more information and strategies to guide children’s behaviour, visit the extension Alliance for Better Child Care section on guidance and discipline.”

Positive Parenting

Babies are born with around 100 billion brain cells (neurons) with relatively little connections. These connections create our thoughts, drive our actions, shape our personalities and basically determine who we are. They are created, strengthened and “sculpted” through experiences across our lives.

Give your child positive experiences. They will have the ability to experience positive experiences themselves and offer them to others.

Give your child negative experiences. They won’t have the kind of development necessary for them to thrive.

Sing that silly song. Have a tickle marathon. Go to the park. Laugh with your child. Ride through an emotional tantrum. Solve a problem together with a positive attitude.

Not only do these positive experiences create good connections in your child’s brain, but they also form the memories of you that your child carries for life.

When it comes to discipline, it seems hard to remain positive. But it is possible to practice Positive Discipline and avoid punitive measures.

Being a good parent means you need to teach your child the moral in what is right and what is wrong. Setting limits and being consistent are the keys to good discipline.

Be kind and firm when enforcing those rules. Focus on the reason behind the child’s behaviour. And make it an opportunity to learn for the future, rather than to punish for the past.

Dear Parents,  Principals, Teachers, Friends and Families,  June 2018

I am not sure who is in charge of “time”, but what happened??  Where did it go???

We are at the end of June and it is the end of Term 2 already.

What an incredible fun and learning filled term with our topics YOU ARE SPECIAL, HYGIENE & PEACE.

We also spoke about and looked at our emotions and how they are important for and to us in so many ways; children are so tuned into their feelings even when they often do not understand them yet.

It is also so amazing and special to see when the children look in the mirror to say to themselves

“I am Special”  “I Love You”  “I am the Best” and a whole lot more positive phrases; their little faces light up with love, pride and confidence.

During this term 2 we also introduced the children to the different musical instruments and families; it is always so amazing to see the joy in their hearts and faces when they remembered.

Sound

The neurosensory part of the auditory system becomes functional at about 25 weeks gestation. This is the time when the ear and the temporal lobe of the brain tune into specific frequencies and intensities such as the mother’s voice and the rhythmic sound of her heart. These same sounds provide comfort and reassurance to the newborn baby.

Hearing continues to develop up to 6 months after the birth. Sound experiences, verbal interactions, rhymes, singing and stories build important neural connections for speech and language skills and they contribute to all-round development of the brain.

Term 3 starts on Monday the 16th of July and our topic is all about CAREERS AND OCCUPATIONS.

Yes, please, if you want, do chat to your children about what it is you do and where you work; children love to talk about their most loved parents.

All our weekly lesson planning includes direct and indirect aims, taking all developmental skills into consideration. Our children love, love, love their weekly lessons and are always excited to see and “play with” the new things we bring for the week.

Dear Parents, Principals, Teachers, Friends and Families, September 2017

Thank you for your never-failing trust and support and for allowing us to bring our most amazing fun and learning filled Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement Program to your children.Children are our passion, and we are truly privileged to be part of all your children’s most important, and amazing Early Learning Years; we know and understand that the first 6 years in a child’s life are the most important developing years in our human lives.  During this time, our children have an absorbent mind, and they acquire all their knowledge and skills without consciously having to learn. Our topic for this third Term was all about CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD.We used a lot of songs from “Wee Sing around the World” The children also loved learning about the different Continents; it is amazing how they know the names of the continents when we point to them on our globes; listening to the different languages children speak in other countries and the last couple of weeks we travelled around Africa – mainly South Africa. Our topic for the 4th and last term is Seasons, Weather and Christmas; Christmas being a truly favourite topic with all our children. With every topic, we used a huge variety of instruments and props, poems, stories and more.  All our weekly activities are planned and prepared including direct and indirect aims; We are truly passionate about what we do and our children love their weekly lessons. Dear parents, please be reminded that term 3 ends on Friday the 29th of September for a week and term 4 starts on Monday 9th October to Friday 8th December 2017.  We take the time during our term break to plan and prepare for term 4. Please be reminded that we take registrations throughout our terms and the year and where children start later during the year we will calculate our fees pro-rata on a monthly / weekly basis.  Our Monthly fees for 2017 are R 165.00 per month, charged for 11 month of the year. Yes, we do teach from babies up to age 6. With our youngest it is a lot about exposure, routine, tactile impressions, listening, imitating and having fun; it is truly amazing to see them grow and develop during their first year. We have finalised our 2018 terms, fees and dates and our monthly fee has only increased by R 5.00 and it is R 170.00 per child per month for weekly 25 to 30 minute lessons. Our first term for 2018 starts on Monday the 15th of January 2018 with the week from the 8th to the 12th being allocated for demo classes.  Please do not hesitate to let us know if you would like to enrol your child for 2018.

Core Strengthening We know that all developmental skills for children build on each other and without the proper development of one, other skills will be impacted.   The core is the centre of control for everything else the body does.Children first need to develop their gross motor skills before they can develop and refine their fine motor skills.  It is difficult to balance, perform co-ordinated movements on both sides of the body, sit up straight in a chair or on the floor, hold a pencil, control scissors or jump if children don’t have a strong core. Poor core strength can cause poor posture, which can also affect gross motor and fine motor skills. Building strong core strength is like building a strong foundation for your child.   Core strength development starts as an infant; Ever wonder why “tummy time” is so important? When an infant has an opportunity to lie on his tummy, he learns to lift his head, which helps to strengthen the neck and upper back muscles. This will help the infant to begin supporting the weight of his own head and to be able to look around in response to sounds.  It will also prepare the infant for such developmental milestones such as crawling, rolling over, and sitting up independently. For older aged children, the best way to develop core strength is through good old-fashioned outdoor play!  Children need daily opportunities to run, jump, climb, crawl and explore in an unstructured environment.Children with poor core strength will tend to slump with shoulders rolled forward while seated, they have poor endurance, and they may exhibit poor balance just to name a few things. During our Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement classes, we take a lot of care to plan enough core strengthening and balancing activities where children need to use both sides of their body incorporating crossing the midline and bilateral movements. Dear Parents, please never hesitate to e-mail me with any questions or queries you may have; this will be the quickest way to get a reply as I do not answer my phone while in classes during the day. Dear Parents, Principals, Teachers, Friends and Families, June 2017

Thank you for your never-failing trust and support, and for allowing us to bring our most amazing fun and learning filled Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement Program to your children.

Children are our passion, and we are truly privileged to be part of all your children’s most important, and amazing Early Learning Years; we know and understand that the first 6 years in a child’s life are the most important developing years in our human lives. During this time, our children have an absorbent mind, and during this time, they acquire all their knowledge and skills without consciously having to learn.

We welcome Teacher Lyndall to our most amazing Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement Team. Lyndall is a truly dynamic Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement teacher, teaching your children in the mornings and attending to her own dance students at her dance school in Atlas Mall Benoni “Lyndall Hemsted School of Dance” in the afternoons.

Our topic for this Second Term was all about The Carnival of the Animals (Le carnaval des animaux) a humorous musical suite by the French Romantic composer Camille Saint-Saëns and different Musical Instruments playing in an orchestra.

The children loved listening to the music for the different animals like ‘the royal march of the Lion, Hens & Roosters, Donkeys & Mules, Tortoises, the Elephant, Kangaroos, Aquarium, Birds, and Fossils. With each animal we explored different animal songs and their most favourite animals were the lion and the Dinosaur dance.

Our third term will be about CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD and AFRICA. It is such an amazing topic to explore through music and movement.

With every topic, we used a huge variety of instruments and props, poems, stories and more. All our weekly activities are planned and prepared including direct and indirect aims; We are truly amazed by the progress all our children are making.

Crossing the Midline – Why is it so important?

  1. The ability to cross our midline reflects the degree of ‘bilateral’ organization a child possesses.
  2. Bilateral skills are important because it helps the right and left sides of our brains communicate.
  3. This link that allows both sides of the body to move together in coordination to perform a wide variety of everyday tasks such as reading, writing, crawling or riding a bike.
  4. Some children who have difficulty crossing their body’s midlines often struggle with reading, writing, and synchronizing their bodies’ fine and gross motor skills.
  5. Often times, maintaining attention and concentrating can be a challenge due to lack of communication between both sides of the brain.

Dear parents, please be reminded that term 2 ends on Friday the 30th of June and term 3 starts on Monday 24th July 2017.  We take the time during our term break to plan and prepare for term 3.  I will however still be teaching at my schools that do not close but will take the week off from 17 July in order to do planning with the rest of the team.

Dear Parents, Principals, Teachers, Friends and Familes, March 2017

Thank you for your never-failing trust and support and for allowing us to be bring our most amazing fun and learning filled Wiggle and Jam Music and Movement Program to your children.

Children are our passion and we are truly privileged to be part of all your children’s most important Early Learning Years; we know and understand that the first 6 years in a child’s life are the most important developing years in our human lives.  During this time, our children have an absorbent mind, and during this time they acquire all their knowledge and skills without consciously having to learn.

Our topic for this first term was all about “ME, MYSELF, MY FEELINGS, MY BODY, I AM SPECIAL, MY SENSES” and a whole lot more.  We used a huge variety of instruments and props, including play dough representing mud, brushes and cloths for “cleaning” ourselves, mirrors to look at how special we are, puppets, soft toys and small balls representing our feelings, slime, perfumed flowers, glasses, and different tastes when talking about our senses, and a whole lot more.

The children loved the poem “how do I know what I am feeling?” and best of all most of the older children loved the “Heartbeat” and “Body Popping Skeleton” song too.

Term 1 ends on Friday the 31st of March and term 2 starts on the 17th of April 2017

We take the time during our term break to plan and prepare for term 2.

Term 2 will be all about: The Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns – Classical Music for Kids, The Orchestra and different musical instruments including lots of fun and learning filled songs about Animals and Dinosaurs.

All our weekly activities are planned and prepared including direct and indirect aims.

Music and rhythm can help children:

  • Express their emotions. Children will sing a joyful song or hum a catchy tune when they are happy. In contrast, their dance movements might be jerky and aggressive when they are angry or frustrated.
  • Release energy and channel it in creative, productive directions.
  • Gain confidence in themselves as they realize they can use their minds and bodies together.
  • Children learn that, with practice, their bodies will do almost anything they want them to do – even leap across a room or turn cartwheels in time to music.
  • Learn new words and ideas. Children often create their own songs, melodies, and movements. Alternatively, they learn songs that have already been written about spaceships, kangaroos, or friendships and more
  • Learn about themselves and the relationships they have with others.
  • Songs heard in school, in places of worship, and from teachers and parents, teach about life and give hints on living it. The words might teach about hard-to-understand concepts like faith, loyalty, love, peace and freedom.
  • The rhythms and melodies might teach that we like songs we can dance to, or that we prefer songs that make us want to sit quietly and listen. Shy children might discover that they feel bolder among other people when they are loudly singing or dancing. Misbehaving children might be calmed when soft music is played.
  • Music and Movement truly has a wealth of benefits for young and old
